Another fabulous collage inspired by Party Girl from Design Sponge.
Love this so much—a collage inspired by the film Party Girl from Design Sponge.
Parker Posey in Party Girl
“I’ll always have a place at Dairy Queen.”
Libby Mae Brown’s monologue from Waiting for Guffman:
I was going through my trunk of souvenirs and I found this doll. The doll we used to play with before the war. Before you went insane. You were sitting on that quilt that had at one time kept us warm and it was so worn, Billy, and it smelled of mothballs which brought back all those memories of those times that we spent in the attic. Locked up. With Muffin (a doll). And you told us that mother was wrong and we were right. Didn’t you, Muffin? And I took care of you and Billy. But Billy was much more trouble than you, wasn’t he, Muffin? Especially when he got to be bigger than Susan. And made her do things she did NOT want to do. Things that made her sick! And mother pretended she didn’t know, but she did. Well, who’s lying in bed in an insane asylum plugged into a life support system? And who’s wearing fine jewels and expensive clothes? And whose husband accidently died just recently and left me all his money? And who’s on top and who’s on bottom, now? Huh? Who’s on top and who’s on bottom, now?!
“We met at Starbucks. Not the same Starbucks. But we saw each other at different Starbucks’ across the street from each other.” (On the DVD commentary they mention this referred to the two ridiculously placed Starbucks’ at Robson & Thurlow in downtown Vancouver, where they filmed Best in Show.)
As Darla Marks in Dazed and Confused. “AIR RAID, BITCHES!”
A Mighty Wind
The cast came to Vancouver to perform a concert after the film came out, and the date got bumped to my birthday. I flipped out and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Christopher Guest is one of my heroes and everyone was so hilarious and talented. Jane Lynch is SO fucking tall, btw. SO tall.
Parker’s Jackie-O-obsessed character in House of Yes.
She looks totally mental in this picture. It’s the best.
Parker Posey
I love her. Since I can remember, I have always said that in the movie of my life Parker Posey would play me. Mostly because we are more similar, and Jennifer Connelly is way above board and it would just be wishful thinking on my part. But I guess I don’t look very much like either of them. I look like Rashida Jones, apparently. I’ll take it! She’s smokin’ and her dad is Quincy and her mom is Peggy and MJ’s monkey, Bubbles, bit her hand when she was 4 at the Neverland Ranch and now she has a permanent scar.
